    do i something wrong?

    thx
    Try making it look like:
    Code:
    #!/bin/sh -e
    #
    # rc.local
    #
    # This script is executed at the end of each multiuser runlevel.
    # Make sure that the script will "exit 0" on success or any other
    # value on error.
    #
    # In order to enable or disable this script just change the execution
    # bits.
    #
    # By default this script does nothing.

    sudo rmmod bcm43xx
    sudo rmmod ndiswrapper
    sudo modprobe ndiswrapper
    sudo ifdown eth1
    sudo ifup eth1
    sudo dhclient

    exit 0
Sorry, I forgot that it won't work if you put the lines at the top - my fault.

ok it seems to work now (cant be sure because i dont have a wireless network)
the "proper" way to install is headers then kernel if your wondering

    a quick question

how do i find out what networks are near? does the iwlist scan command do this?

is there a graphical program similar to the "view available wireless networks" option that you get when you right click a wireless connection in windows?

    Hi compwiz18,

This is just a big Thank You message, because your solution worked for me (after a re-install).
For future Google references, I am using a Kubuntu 6.10 (Edgy) on an Acer 3003 WLMi.

    Thanks again !
