I have ubuntu 12.04 installed on my gateway gt5656 and it hase a few problems. The first is the boot splash screen, I know that it works because when i shut down, it shows the boot splash screen but when i boot up it's just a black screen. Everything else works but the normal unity. When i tried to log in to it, it just gave me a black screen so i got rid of the Nvidia drivers and that worked, So now i could use the normal unity 3d but its so laggy now and crashes that now im forced to use the ubuntu 2d can anyone help i wold really appreciate it.
