This is so basic I feel stupid, but here goes:
I have a desktop running Linux Mint 12 with wired connection to my wireless modem/router. I have a notebook running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. The desktop has a second drive which I want to access from my notebook (wirelessly).
So far I have not been able to connect them, although, using samba, I can set up a windows share that sees the second drive from my notebook but will not allow it to mount. All my drives are Ext4 file systems.
Some basic instruction on how I should do this would be appreciated, preferrably using a non-windows share.
Forgot to mention, I have the second drive on my desktop mounting to a directory called Storage in File System.
