Cole's Notes for Installing Ubuntu Studio under Vanilla 12.04?
For past Ubuntu Studio versions there are various meta-packages that automate the process of installing ubuntu-studio functionality into vanilla Ubuntu distros. To use under Gnome classic, Unity, Cinnamon from PPA, or what-have-you. How do you go about this? How do you successfully replace the kernel with the low-latency version? Etc
If anyone's done this successfully, could you share your notes? Or even say if there's anything radically different about doing it under Precise to trip up the unwary. Thx
