Hi,

My homeserver currently has a hostname 'thaddeus', however as this seems to be causing my a problem configuring Davical I'm thinking of changing it to a FQDN thaddeus.iona.com.

I currently use Iona as my workgroup in Samba and the windows machines are in this workgroup. I also run an FTP/Apache/Mediatomb etc...

My question is if I change the hostname on the server to a FQDN will I end up causing myself problems or should everything be straightforward?

I have reserved an IP address on my router for the server.

Any advice appreciated.
