    What I find funny is that a lot of people who complain about Unity being too "tablet-like" use Gnome Shell, which is FAR more tablet-like than Unity.

    This is hilarious.. word on the street is conical will release a phone os soon so why would anyone be surprised about the continued movement to a universal platform. I smile as I type this on my kindle fire.

    People are weird. For a long time, I had GNOME customised with a dock. When I did a fresh Ubuntu installation, I just thought "Oh, they’ve changed the default so it’s pretty much the way I was going to customise it." I didn’t even realise it wasn’t GNOME.

    You’d have to be pretty conservative-minded to find Ubuntu hard to use.
