I use Thunderbird for my emails, and it currently is showing a message that the current version, Thunderbird 3, will be obsolete from 24 April. Does anyone know if the new Thunderbird 4 will be available in the repositories by then?

Thunderbird 11 is in the Lucid 10.4.4 LTS repository

I can't see it in the repositories - where is it?
Sorry, I was in error. Double checked this morning it's still 3.1.20.
However Firefox 11 is available for Linux from a Ubuntuzilla repository.
I installed it in 8.04LTS for a while but returned to the previous since it was an Opt install. It seemed to function along with Firefox 11 but my feelings are it may be better to stick with the main repository versions.

The below would install thunderbird 11.0 in your ubuntu 11.10 .
Code:sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-mozilla-security/ppa sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install thunderbird
