As zerothis pointed out, Desura has a category for crowdsourced Linux games. You pay a fee and get access to early versions, both supporting their development and giving you the chance to play the games in their early form. To see them, go to this link (and ensure that you click on the icon at the top of the screen to view Linux games only): http://www.desura.com/games#alpha
    Current games include: Metagolf,
Incursion, Snorms, Tomes of Mephistopheles, 3079, Towns, Project Zomboid, Survivors of Ragnarök and King Arthur's Gold.

If you know of any other Linux game on Kickstarter (or any other such crowdfunding website), post your own entries, and I'll update this list.
Note: For a few of the "Linux status" I used the "Ask a question" button at the bottom of the page to ask the developer directly, good way to both check the Linux status and show support for the platform.

    Re: Kickstarter Games for Linux

was thinking that companies liek RedHat and Canonical could give some support to such projects. I mean if more people played games more people would use Linux or at least introduce it to decision makers. and if more people would use linux more people would consider having it in the office. if more would consider it in the office these companies would benefit.

now the thing is as we can see that the needed money for port is not that big and even if they pledged smaller amount it would still be good oveall.

I don't think that Redhat is interested. They don't aim at the Desktop market.

Can you undo the thread merging, because my thread was not about games?
