I am new to Ubuntu (about 2 weeks) and just updated today to the latest version. Since the update, my CD tray will not stay closed. When I try listening to music on my machine it randomly opens, what is the reason for this? Thanks! -Gregory Gagnon
I have never heard of Ubuntu behaving like this. Maybe your optical drive has a problem? However, it's kind of funny, since ejecting discs by pushing the Eject button on the front of the drive does not work on default installations

The install CD did this while trying to read the docs, music CD's do this, all do this. I have Red Hat 9 on one machine, Fedora Core 5, on the other, and testing Ubuntu 6.06 on the third when I ran into this problem.
