    Networking Hell

Ok, so I have a flat of 2 Apple OSX Lion MacBook Pros, 1 Linux Mint (Lisa 12, not really fussed about this one), 2 Computers dual booting Windows 7 and Windows 8 (but I don't really care about windows 8.) and 1 laptop dual booting Ubuntu 11.10 and windows 7 and 2 laptops with just windows 7 on them.

So to Sum up: Windows 7, OSX Lion and Ubuntu 11.10
I was wondering how to get them to share over the network. I have had a nightmare trying to get them to share and finally decided to bit the bullet and post on here.
    Thanks for any help

What exactly do you mean by share? Do you want them to be able to access a common server, do remote login or something different? If you want them to be able to access a common server, Samba would probably the answer to your question.

Like sharing a folder on each computer over the network. I tried using the usual ways but I can't access the mac from windows or ubuntu over smb. Is there a recent tutorial somewhere on the web (yes i have looked) that you know of?
