Has anyone else chosen HoN over LoL because of native linux support?

I have only played LoL but I am thinking of going with HoN because I am too lazy to restart my computer and go into Windows 7. Just wondering if anyone else did this and how the game compares to LoL.

Only reason I have tried HoN is because it is free to play (and to be honest I didn't even realize it has a native Linux support)...

Don't know LoL but can't say I am a fan of HoN (Awaiting Blizzard Dota at the moment )

HoN is pretty decent if you can find polite people to play with who don't curse at everything you do wrong and offer no helpful hints...

I think this is the reason I don't like the game... everything else about it seems decent but being forced to play with people that seem like they don't want you there and don't even want to be there themselves really sucks...

I heard Heroes of Newerth is only a free trial that lets you play 10 times, then you have to either buy it or start a new trial account. Is that not true?

Not true. (The again I have not played enough times to validate it personally).

HoN is free-to-play like LoL.
LoL is better for casual player because of their community and their wellmade hero
HoN's community is like ****, until you become a better player

I played and reported a couple of issues in the HoN beta. It seemed decent enough, but the community attitude was so awful, I just couldn't be bothered.
