    kernel thread helper error please help

    Hello People

    i have a problem when i install the new ubuntu versions like 11.10 and 12.04 in the past versions was working fine so only the new generic versions

    the problem is when i put ubuntu installation live cd or usb and i run i face this error
    kernel thread helper +0x6/0x10
    so all i can do is reboot click f6 and type "live-install acpi=off"
    and it will work good so install it normally but when i finish install and reboot the computer and try to run ubuntu from the grub it will start loading and then kernel thread helper +0x6/0x10 again and it will freeze
    even in the recovery mode i'll get the same problem
    so how can i skip this guys ? how can i should down acpi from the grup ?? plz plz i really need ur help im stuck in ubuntu 10.04 bcz of this .

    note:
    only new generics the ones begins with 3.x.x.x.x will get the error with my pc
    old ones such as 2.6.32.38.44 are working fine

    my pc :
    Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz (2 CPUs)
    Memory: 1006MB RAM
    HDD:500
    VGA:Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller

    Method 1 as listed here should allow you to boot and then change grub's settings so that you don't have to do that every time you boot.
