no sound at all after upgrading to 12.04

Hey I have a DELL Inspiron mini 10 and I had installed ubuntu 9.4 on to it. everything worked great. then I thought about updating the os. now that the new distro is out I wanted to upgrade it to 12.04. I upgraded from one LTS to the next and now my sound dosent work. Idk how to check if its a problem with 12.04 not having support for the sound card or what.

so, any ideas on how to begin to track down my sound problem?

12.04 has not been released yet, it is only in beta, so there could very well be issues that have not been resolved yet. You might get more useful answers in the Ubuntu + 1 forum (http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=412) where people who use the beta hang out.
