    Headphones with Play/Pause Button

    Is there a way to get the button on my headphones to work? One press: Play/Pause, Two presses: Skip. I know my laptop (ThinkPad Edge E420s) recognizes the button because in Windows it disables the mic, and I know the button doesn't just do that because on my 3DS it does what I want it to do in Ubuntu.

    After doing some research it looks like all it does is short the microphone out. Is there a way to translate that to a key?
