    media converter help needed

    Hi, Ive just installed mobile media converter from herehttp://www.tuxtree.com/2011/12/how-t...ntu-11-10.html
    to convert a load of wma files, but where do i find it on my system ( which is 11.10) to run it ?

    Have Your Heard About ffmpeg or winff?

    Yes, dead easily, provided you have all the necessary codecs required to both decode and encode both the original file-type and the one you want to encode.

    ffmpeg is a command line application, but extremely flexible if you need it to be, or very simple if you prefer.

    Winff is a gui for ffmpeg, so misses out on a few of the options you can use in terminal, but most users will never use or miss them.

    Here's a web-page with some useful example commands if you should decide to try ffmpeg in terminal.

    you mean , you wanna open that ?

    in unity dash type mobile media converter , it will gives the software in the search list and open it from there .

    from there you can go on .
    Dont miss anything even it is small. one small pin is enough to bring down a man.

    thankyou, I am helping a friend who's a windows convert, and he has 11.10, which I've not used before, so navigation is my problem, I couldn't figure it out!

    Ok so you wanna convert music and all am i right?

    if so use ffmpeg or winff.
    Hell if you want
    download the packages for mp3 inside linux.
    and download downloadhelper for firefox and you can simply browse to any video on the web and convert the video to mp3 format.

    thats what i use.

    now is it found or still missing ?

    if not found , then do this

    press alt+F2 , it will open unity dash in that type what you're looking for .

    let us know what you got .
