Unhappy Ugly Font Rendering in Netbeans w/ Sun Java 6

    Hi all,

I recently installed Netbeans and found that the font rendering is horrendous. After doing some searching, I read that if you install and set your default Java installation to Sun's JDK that it will fix the problem.

I've followed all the instructions I found and still cannot get decent font rendering for Netbeans. To be specific I'm not trying to change the look and feel rather I'm trying to improve the appearance of the font in the editor window.

My current Java version is as follows:

    java version "1.6.0_26"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_26-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 20.1-b02, mixed mode)

I too faced a similar problems, then I installed Microsoft Core fonts

Then change the font to Courier New like they have in Windows..
