    DNS Changer virus are Ubuntu immune

    Good Morning guys what can you say about this news? Is there any way an ubuntu desktop can be infected by this one?

    Its probably unlikely. Most botnets run on and target Windows machines.

    Just to be safe I did a quick check anyway, and can now confirm I will still have internet after 8th March.

    Unless, of course my ISP goes down

    I haven't seen anything about non-Windows versions, but haven't really looked either. Best advice I can give to anyone, but especially to Windows users, is back up important files prior to March 8 and be prepared to do a clean installation of your OS if domains suddenly stop resolving. Oh, and if it's a proprietary OS, use a licensed copy.
