The problem, as mentioned before, is that the current version of the forum software does not allow a more fine-grained control over user settings. We are hoping that this will change when the major upgrade occurs.

The script that updates user groups and permissions and the like runs hourly. It looks like you're nearly there, so be patient.

I'm using 11.04 as my main version; would it be possible to update my profile to that? Someone said that asking could get it updated...

(Also, is there some test or something we can take to prove that we're not spambots?)

Just search the forums for spam and report it.

Each spam report gets you a bean. We get loads of it.

Since spammers are the reason for the 50 posts restriction it is a nice way of gaining a few beans.

I did not know that.. Yahsee.. You go away (meaning me) for about a year cause your system is running well and you get busy, or in my case the blonde starts making me busy.. you come back and learn a new trick..

hello,

I'm back, now with Xubuntu 12.04 running on my machine. My CD with Unity couldn't boot properly, it gets jammed to that burgundy screen, even though the hash was OK and no error was returned when I burned it. As I burned both Ubuntu and Xubuntu the same day, I switch to Xubuntu CD instead.

So I would like to have my profile info updated please !

New info : Xubuntu 12.04 LTS
