    itx htpc build question

I am getting information I need to build an HTPC computer with a tuner card. I want to get a tuner card that captures digital channels and is PCI_E. I would like to use an ITX board but these have one PCIE slot which is typically X16 whereas the tuner cards I have looked at are 1X; is it OK to put a PCIE 1X tuner card in a 16X slot or do I need to move up to an Matx board with pcie 1x SLOT?

    Re: itx htpc build question

I am going to wait till the ivy bridge chips come out and decide on the motherboard then. I was thinking of using a Hauppauge tuner card. I guess I will have to investigate further later on. I notice that Hauppauge lists their cards as compatible with 1X or 8X slots but no mention of 16X

    Ed: WinTV-HVR-1250 card will work
