    Default support in Xubuntu

I am currently running Xubuntu installed on top of Ubuntu 11.10. For some reason Gimp has become my default program for opening .pdf files...No idea how that happened but it doesn't do it very well...or at all. Anyway, how do I change the default program used to open various file types in Thunar, and in general...Kicad now wants to use Gimp to open its help files which are all .pdf files. Help!

    Thanks in advance...

In Thunar, go to a PDF file, right-click and choose Properties.
The first tab should have a drop-down list of applications to use.
Choose something like Document Viewer, which is evince.

This selection will be used by all applications that are compliant with Freedesktop/XDG standards.

    Cheers!
