    Question Editing Upper Panel

Hi everyone I'm back after a long absence from Ubuntu and there for missed when Unity came out, but when I first updated I hated it but its starting to grow on me. So the question is; how do I edit/add stuff to the upper panel, I know that gnome fallback you needed to use WinKey+Alt+RClick to add stuff, but I want to do this with Unity. Any ideas?

I am not currently using Unity in 11.10 but I believe you can mouse over the panel and hold the "alt" key then click which should open a dialog/menu

While you were gone, editing the top panel also went. It is a reserved space for things called application indicators.

I dare say that someone will offer a way around this restriction or recommend that you use another distribution.

awww, and just when I was starting to like Unity too. Thanks for the welcome, stopped using because I needed Office 2010. By the way has anyone found a way to install Office 2010 on Ubuntu while I was away.

I use the gnome-session-fallback in 11.10. I was able to remove Unity and run Gnome 3 in Classic mode.

    Have you considered Virtual Box?
