Hey all,

I just tried installing a python application for managing podcasts (gpodder) from source only to encounter the following error when I tried running it:

Code:
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/gpodder", line 96, in <module>
    import gpodder
ImportError: No module named gpodder
I located the module in /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages, which looked okay. Then I checked sys.path and found out that "site-packages" had been removed in Ubuntu...

Any suggestions for what the best way to add site-packages back into the Python search path? I could edit the gpodder application script and append the path to sys.path, or perhaps update PYTHONPATH in .bashrc.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
