I have a number of Sandisk USB flash drives I use for back-ups. One drive had data and music on it but when I tried to update data I couldn't. When I checked properties it showed 0 bytes on it and 0 bytes capacity. Sandisk e-mailed a link to me, but I would like to format it with linux. How do I do that??

Personally would use "Gparted" very easy simple interface to handle formatting of Hard Drives and USB's as well as SD media.
