Trying to work out which directories are used for weston - not sure yet how the user
permissions are changing my results - but they seem to make a big difference

    Code:
    keith5@keith-K53SV:~$ wlsudo weston-terminal
wlsudo: Running command: sudo -E waylandapp weston-terminal ...
    [sudo] password for keith5:
Error: "/var/tmp/kdecache-keith5" is owned by uid 1001 instead of uid 0.
kdialog(15039)/kdeui (kdelibs): Session bus not found
To circumvent this problem try the following command (with Linux and bash)
    export $(dbus-launch)
    KCrash: Application 'kdialog' crashing...
KCrash: Attempting to start /usr/lib/kde4/libexec/drkonqi from kdeinit
    sock_file=/home/keith5/.kde/socket-keith-K53SV/kdeinit4__0
    keith5@keith-K53SV:~$
run as usr - but not sure if this runs from /usr/bin/
    westoncaller

Then the ones that were compiled into the opt directory but these also exist in the /usr/bin/

    /opt/bin/
    weston

Then some so files ..... that get mentioned in the listing above ......

    /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/weston/

    Code:
    keith5@keith-K53SV:/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/weston$ ls
    desktop-shell.so tablet-shell.so x11-backend.so
    drm-backend.so wayland-backend.so xwayland.so

    Re: Wayland Live CD

Finally got it to work with

    Worked with
    $ westoncaller & weston

Now have 2 versions ....... thanks for the help with the Compile_all the command is only going to work in raring
so anyone that followed what was happening there .... will find there are problems upgrading both ways .......
1 .... with rbos-update build ( as that for me stopped Wayland in its tracks )
    2 .... with compile-all ( 3 hours - on 8 core processor ) again glibc needs to be at 0.27 ....

[a]going up one - but then running rbos-update destroys the system as it reverts everything back to raring.
[b]going up one - grab glibc and drop back to raring ... then other problems occur with the new glibc running ).
[c]never tried compiling glibc .... as memories from earlier led me all over the shop trying to find out how to get rid of
2 versions is almost impossible for me to do with my experience.

Stalled out at this point not getting a successful upgrade where everything works - the original DVD downloads runs very
well without upgrading though and its the only DVD that I know has a working version of Wayland already running on it.

So ... the system is best loaded from the link on the first page - Great Distro will catch up with this again sometime in the future
to see how its progressing. Thanks for the help along the way too learning some more things and now know where some of the
main directories are for this ..... as well as seeing how it all gets built and its a very long process god only knows how you
write code and then re-compile and re-run to keep testing things out - but best of luck with it.

Thats a lean looking HTOP .... 77 process's .... just had a look at watchdog too ..... not sure if I need it
but wondered what it was doing.

What was the installer like .... will it allow for setting grub to boot from its own partition ....

Did the installer look and feel similar to the Ubuntu one .... am about to find out
