12.04 Driver Problems
Hello. I just upgraded from 10.04 to 12.04 on my desktop. I am having trouble with audio playing through my HDMI cable. I can play audio through the the audio jacks in the front and back of the machine, but it will not play through the HDMI cable.
I have tried looking for drivers under system settings. I have also tried searching google and these forums for answers to similar problems to no avail. I am not sure which chip controls the HDMI port so I have listed them both below. Sorry if this is a stupid question or posted in the wrong spot. I will greatly appreciate any help you guys could give me.
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R
North bridge: Intel P45 Express Chipset
South bridge: Intel ICH10R
Other motherboard specs: http://www.gigabyte.us/products/prod...d=3013&dl=1#sp
Solved: I opened update manager and it had 11 updates to install. I updated those and restarted. Now my audio works! Sometimes it is the simple things...
