    Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty Narwhal)

    Hello,

Just recently, I installed a fresh copy of this version of ubuntu.
Everything till the installation was fine.
But I noticed a few problems in it.

    1. My mouse cursor disappears when I right-click anywhere or when i click on the menus at the panel.
Is this a part of the effect or is it a sign of a hardware issue?
    2. I wanted to change some settings with the date and time. When I click on the settings, nothing seems to happen. WHat can i do?

Can somebody help me with my issues?? plz...

Machine make and model would help.

... and welcome to the forums. 11.10 is problematic. An LTS release or something a bit more stable/solid would be a better place to start. Try 10.04 LTS perhaps.

Is 11.10 working okay from the CD when you select 'Try Ubuntu'?

I also have a Tecra A2. Its currently running XP Home.
I want to install Ubuntu on it. I have a disk for Ubuntu 10.04 LTS but it hangs during setup.
    Any tips would be great.

greeboid; you might want to try with the alternate CD. It is the same but text based so will avoid any graphics probs you might be having (and that could be the problem) at least during the install. You can then fix any other issues when you get there.

    And welcome to the forums.
