    Smile How do you open Nautilus as administrator?

    Nautilus refuses to carry out simple commands such as copying, moving and renaming.
    Thus far, I've used the command shell to perform such tasks.
    Also, I can open Nautilus as administrator using "$ sudo nautilus" and then carry out such
    tasks within Nautilus.

    I would like to setup Nautilus to open the way Syntaptic opens;
    that is, with a request for my administrator password.
    Is this possible and if so, how?

    Thanks and Regards - Randy

    gksu nautilus

    Then in the launcher right click it and choose keep in launcher. Not at my box so can't test.

    Ok Valvegrid, that works, Thanks. (Cool presentation too).
    As an extra benefit, I now have an idea of what Main Menu is about. Thanks.
