    Use whatever OS or desktop works for you. Dual boot or use VMs if you want. Backup your computer regularly, and definitely before upgrading, partitioning, or installing an OS.

    LIttle bit grizzled. bit worn round the edges perhaps. A club for us perchnce.

    Thank you. I try to share what I have learned with anyone that asks, and I try to word my suggestions appropriately based on what the person's abilities seem to be from reviewing their other posts.

    Thank you. I don't know when the next vote on membership will be; so, I will just wait to find out what the results are from the vote. It may be that the people voting do not think my posts would qualify as significant or that the number of posts over a given time would qualify as sustained.

    Whether I get Ubuntu Membership or not isn't going to change what I do on the forum. I enjoy helping others, and that helps me practice my troubleshooting skill.
