Need help taking snap shot of current Audio settings

Hi
I recently (after long while)was able to get the HDMI audio working on my home theater. I know (from exp) that the audio settings are very delicate and updates tend to screw them up especially if Nvidia or ATI cards are involved.
SO..
To be safe I want to take a snapshot of existing Audio settings.
Can someone please tell me...
Which files to back up?

I have 11.10 ubuntu 32 bit running on Pentium D processor connected to a receiver with 5.1 surround system.

You can use this script. It will output to /tmp if you don't upload your information, so copy the output from /tmp to a permanent location.
