Question How to remotely manage ubuntu desktop

    Hello All,

I am exploring methods of how my customer can remotely manage a bunch of Ubuntu PC's that are running an instance of chrome browser in full screen.

They are not considered tech savvy users (SSH tunneling is not an option) so I am exploring the option of giving them VNC access so that they may be able to restart the browser / reboot the PC remotely should there be any failure.

The second option would be for me to write some sort of daemon to listen on a specific port and will accordingly (at a click of the button on the client UI) either restart the browser or reboot the PC. Problem is, it sounds very dandy in theory, but I lack any knowledge in Linux programming and need some sort of guidance on how I should go about attempting this.

Any help in the matter is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.
