    Xscreensaver keypress hack

So I've installed a screensaver called "Electricsheep" and it uses a voting mechanism in which the user presses the up and down arrow keys to vote for whether a "sheep" is good or bad. Unfortunately, this wakes up the computer. I understand there is a hack for xscreensaver that allows you to press keys in this way but after many Google searches I cannot find a link for it. Anybody got an idea where it could be?

Have you tried using gnome-screen saver?

I use XFCE though. Would that still work?

There shouldn't be a problem running gnome-screensaver inside of xfce. You may have to uninstall xscreensaver, which could prove to be interesting. But to begin with, I would just install gnome-screensaver and see how well electricsheep works in that environment.

Thanks! I'll try that next time I find the time.
