Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot on Lenovo IdeaPad S10

    Hi,

I have a IdeaPad S10 netbook running Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal very fine . I installed Oneiric Ocelot. The installation went fine also, but when I run it, the brightness keeps changing every time I hit the pad .

Has someone had the same problem with Oneiric Ocelot and does a fix exist ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi everyone,

I have found similar problems on forums but only on Samsung laptops, and the solutions proposed included installing samsung-backlight package, which obviously does not work on my Lenovo Ideapad. I also tried, without success, to add acpi_backlight=vendor to the GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT line in the /etc/default/grub file.

I suspect there is just some functionality to deactivate to make it works. Has somone encontered the same problem or has an idea ?
