Cannot type in input form

Hi,
I'm using Ubuntu 11.10. The problem is from the beginning I've installed the system. That is, when I try to type something on the Title bar of gmail or any other title bar, it's like the bar is locked. I can't type, backspaced anything. I've found this problem when I try to write code on code-blocks too. Any idea what's the soln?

If by "title bar" you mean the top bar of a Window, which contains the title of the app, you can NOT type there.

So, where are you really trying to type?

Perhaps attaching a screen shot could elucidate the problem a bit? Sorry to be of little to no help, but 'title bar' is a bit ambiguous

I think it's fairly obvious from the context (and the title) that the user means html text boxes and other various forms of text input apparatus.
