    WAP key and Keyring

    Hi,

'Keyring' is being used to store my WAP key - this means I have to enter my keyring password before the machine will connect to my WAP. I have my machine BIOS set to turn on when power is restored after failure... but I'm often not there to unlock the keyring! How can I get rid of this?

    Ubuntu Desktop 10.03LTS, Gnome environment.

    Thanks

you mean WPA key, give the keyring a blank password if it bothersome, though you are removing a level of security by doing this but depends on your physical access environment.

    Thanks haqking,

Actually it's my WAP WEP key

I'll try applying a blank password as you suggested. Security isn't an issue in my environment.

    Regards

    Mike

Sorry, it's a Wireless Access Point (WAP) I had to use WEP as my old Belkin NIC did not support WPA.
