huawei bm338 on ubuntu ?

please i am sick of keep working on windows to have internet connection

can i let huawei bm338 work on ubuntu ??

IMHO huawei bm338 is a usb wifi adapter.

you should download a ubuntu live-cd.
You can try ubuntu without installing on the hard drive. The live-cd doesn't install on the hard drive, it only runs until you reboot your pc.
Just boot ubuntu and see if it works.

I tried this on installed ubuntu 9.10, ubuntu sees it as usb storage disk

I have already installed ubuntu - not live CD - on my laptop

when i insert the wifi USB ubuntu shows it as storage device not as broadband device

you're running a dual-mode device.
Maybe you can mode-switch the usb device into a modem.
But I don't know anything about doing that switch

Yes I know that I need to use usb_modemswitch thing but there is parameter to send with usb_modemswitch called "--message-content " don't know what to put in this argument

i have the same modem and some difficulty to install it on ubuntu 12.04 64bit
it does not recognized by ubuntu
it's emergency.
