How to add app icons for another user without reinstalling apps

I have added a second user to my system, and would like to add most of the apps I have installed to the desktop of the second user. Of course, I don't want to reinstall them all.

So how can I make the icons appear on the second users desktop, and be active for the second user?

    hello,
all applications for the first user are active for the second user.
create just their icon for the second user.
it's better to ask stupid question than to do something stupid.

That is what I suspected. Since I'm a bit lazy, and don't want to do each one manually, is there a directory or location that I can just drag them to the "other user" desktop or directory, or some other easy way?
