Firefox 8 update not in my repos yet?

I fear I am missing a main ppa.

The fact that I have not seen the update for Firefox 8, and the fact that a couple hundred of my packages are marked with (local or obsolete) makes me think I am missing a ppa.

Maybe someone can tell me what the repo Firefox 8 cam from?

Probably the same repo I am missing that holds Compiz, cups, deja-dup, empathy, gedit, gnome-shell, gwibber etc....

Here it is. osuosl Is the Oregon State University Open Source Labs mirror, but I get the same results using the main server and the main US server

Edit: @wichendonsprins: you are missing the oneiric-backports, oneiric-security and oneiric-updates repos. You should be able to fix your file by adding these to the end:

My guess is that it probably happened when you switched from the main repo to the osu mirror, but how and why it happened depends on how you did to switch (manual edit or using software-sources)...

The firefox-stable ppa doesn't provide new versions of Firefox to Oneiric users, only to Maverick and Lucid, since on Oneiric the latest Firefox version is provided by the official repository.
