    remove network-manager from gnome 3

    Hi,
I would like to remove Network-Manager form Gnome 3.
Gnome 2 was easy a person could unistall NM and it would take NM-gnome with it.
    All good.
However if I try to uninstall NM from Gnome 3 it want to remove Gnome and Gnome-Desktop-Enviroment and a heap of other stuff with it, something I'm sure I'd regret.

Is it possible through terminal to remove just NM and NMGnome?

If you remove NM like you say it will remove the desktop-enviroment which in turn removes gnome.

I have built my install from a terminal install and do not have the desktop-enviroment installed. And your right, its pretty bare bones. And I do have NM installed, but can remove it without taking out what little I have installed.

If you want to try less than the full Gnome-Desktop-Enviroment maybe it can be replaced with gnome-core. Can't say for sure since I have not tried this.
