How can if i can give the progress bar a little spark. That thing called windows can be modified so the progress bar can be animated. I wonder if Ubuntu could possibly make a animated Progress bar such as a fish swimming. This also would be nice in Firefox or chromium. There could also be something like a dog chasing a cat or a a little guy pouring liquid into the progress bar.
You could try making your own custom gtk+ theme.
Is there anything to stop you using a gif instead of the regular scrollbar image?
