Yeah and even with that the chances of them listening to a rant in a mailing list or IRC is as likely as them coming here for feedback.

If it is contructive then it is as welcome here as directed at the devs i presume IMO.

I think people file complaints about Unity because they care, and if the administrators and Canonical people don't want to listen, stow them away or even censor these complaints, people will vote with their feet.

I have no doubt in your sincerity, wich I cannot say about many posts of people who's biggest problem is not their computer's OS. I do believe the moderating of that is a matter of common sense and hard to "catch" in a set of rules.
In general I believe you cannot accuse this forum of being too strict, on the contrary, it is one of the the most tolerant ones I have ever seen. Many of the posts in the T&E section are on or even over the edge I believe.

Anyhow, I'm not quite sure if it will do any good or not, since a person would have to read the announcement and well, from what I've seen about the 50 beans thing, not many do. Generalization I know, but yeah.
