    Add Xfce Panel to Lubuntu

So far it is working for me.

Use synaptic to add lXce4 panel, xfce goodies, and any other xfce plugins you want.

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1604211 will show you how to add xfce panel to autostart in Lubuntu. Then just right click on the panel to customize.

This will give you access to a battery monitor, cpu, memory, swap applets that work.

The Lxde panel will continue to function as you like although you may have to remove some applets there to have them accessible in the xfce panel. You will also have access to Thunar as a file manager.

    Hope someone finds this useful

you mistyped. search for " xfce panel" in synaptic.
I'm going to give it a try. I need a disk activity light because my hard drive led on my case is unplugged

Yes, my foolish mistake, thanx for the correction. I was rushed as I was on the way to work
