How to change Double-Click speed in Lubuntu

I found I can only maximize/restore windows with a double click if I make an unusual effort to click hard.

I found how to change the double click time for window titles.

    in Lubuntu
LXDE button/ Preferences/ Openbox Configuration Manager / Mouse

Change doubleclick time to 300 - 500 ms.

I haven't found how to change it for PCManFM. The config file to do that seems to be missing on my Lubuntu.

That doesn't work. I know because I just accidentally set it to 6ms and I could still double-click

Setting is a number between 100-1000.
    eg
    Code:
    gconftool-2 --type int --set /desktop/gnome/peripherals/mouse/double_click 900

setting it to 100 doesn't change anything in PCManFM.

Ahhh sorry, after a bit of testing found 11.10 now uses d-conf.

    eg
    current setting
    Code:
    gsettings get org.gnome.settings-daemon.peripherals.mouse double-click

    Change setting
    Code:
    gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.peripherals.mouse double-click xxx

Re: How to change Double-Click speed in Lubuntu

after installing gsettings, I get an error when I read the double-click delay:
    No such schema 'org.gnome.settings-daemon.peripherals.mouse'

same error if try to set the value

Re: How to change Double-Click speed in Lubuntu

I can't really help you much more as I don't use Lubuntu and have no idea
    about the included packages.
Thought it was just LXDE on top.
On Ubuntu I had to install dconf-tools to get the dconf-editor package.
Don't remember installing gsettings but may have been brought in as a dependency, as I have
    dconf-gsettings-backend installed.

    dconf-editor...
