Do you people really need stats to justify what OS you use?
    Obviously they do.

The Mint Ubuntu comparison has always been especially weird to me as far as distrowars go. Mint is pretty much repackaged Ubuntu with some interesting programs on the side. Most of the work in Mint is done by Ubuntu, just as most of the work in Ubuntu is done by Debian.

I suspect you're right, but since the OP hasn't made any specific points maybe we should give them the benefit of the doubt.

Didn't we see similar threads when Arch was really popular? I'm to lazy to look a the moment, but I wonder how many of the same people posted something similar about it.

imho, I think we should just all work together, and make linux the best it can be.

Yeah, we did, but that's what makes these forums great.

Re: Will Linux Mint Be the End for Ubuntu?

Probably the answer is yes, if Ubuntu devs stick to Unity. Mint 12 is extremely usable, while Ubuntu 11.10 is hard to use because of Unity. I have moved completely to Linux Mint.
A computer allows you to make more mistakes faster than any invention in human history - with the possible exceptions of handguns and tequila.
