If they ever get the Fonts sorted out to be as good as the Ubuntu ones ....

I would then reconsider using it ..... as when you spend a lot of time at the computer
the text soon starts making your eyes water .....

I can look at the Ubuntu font 12 hours solid and no effect on my eyes ...... but Fedora was
a different matter ......

I did try to pull the Fonts across too once but screwed everything up - also I do prefer using the deb side to the rpm side of linux ..... but its no problem really as all the applications are similar .... although for some reason wings3d my main application ...... across on Fedora the whole color setup in Wings3d is messed up on default settings, so a lot of time is spent messing with that to get it right too ....

Will be glad to hear anyone else's thoughts on it though .....

When they have installed the new one .... as they may have altered these things now .....

Jah...that has been my experience as well; I like that it is very fast on my hardware and how Gnome 3 looks on a blue interface.

I know there are hacks to get the fonts to render better in Fedora--but it is a pain to get it to honor across all apps.

I may just give F16 a go on a USB stick as a live distro.

Nope... gave up on Fedora a long time ago. Some good tech comes out of Fedora, but for an end user distro it sucks pretty hard.

I will wait for Linux Mint 12 with Gnome Shell ontop of Gnome 3.x; good fonts and all the greatness of Gnome Shell on Gnome 3.--yet friendly with the goodness of Ubuntu on my hardware.

I can't believe that there are still people out there using Fedora for something other than development. I fail to see what it offers over Ubuntu, or any of the other top distro.

I love Fedora.

I use it as a daily OS. Its wonderful and incredibly stable.

i to love fedora,
and i've never developed anything.

it's my daily os, i use it for research, writing papers(latex), watching pony's on you tube.

it's stable, effective, and fun!
