What do you mean? Lubuntu has a Ubuntu base, not a Debian base.
    Just download Lubuntu and install...
    That was left handed...

If you have Ubuntu Oneiric already installed then you can add the package lubuntu-desktop. It will put Lubuntu on your computer. You can find it in the Software Center or via Synaptic.

Now another question is how to remove all the Ubuntu-desktop packages that are no longer needed.

Why the headache? I'd install Lubuntu normally and save my time. That will definitely take less time than install just the package then remove some unneeded packages and apps.

Installing "lubuntu-desktop" is not like installing Lubuntu itself. This is my humble opinion

Question Re: REQ: how to preinstall Lubuntu?

Sorry for being not-so-clear, but I want to PRE-install Lubuntu and do not install. That is, to give the machine to someone who could put in his own username and settings after my Lubuntu PRE-installation.

Seems to me more like Windows Pre-installed stuff, right? just like when you buy a new laptop with Windows and you can create your own username and password? I think it's called OEM.

I'm not sure whether this is possible with Linux or not?

From the normal desktop installation CD, press F4 to change modes. On the list you'll see "OEM install (for manufacturers)". Choose that.
