Is there a config file I need to edit?
    Type this inside a terminal:
    Code:
    sudo su
    <enter your password>
    echo 1024 > /proc/sys/dev/rtc/max-user-freq
    exit
and the error should be gone.

This sounds like a really cool script!

Too bad it doesn't work for me. ;(

    chris@chris-desktop:~$ sudo ./install_qemu.sh

Hmm, did you enable the extra repositories to Ubuntu?
Follow the instrutions on this site for your version of ubuntu and then try the script again: http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/sources.php

    Hi,

the install script does not work on amd64. It fails to recognize the kernel.

Re: Installing QEMU, KQEMU, and DHCP Patch

Hmm.. that doesn't look really great ^^

I just re-uploaded a new version which includes better kernel detection and added support for AMD64. Hopefully that'll do it.

Just delete the current .sh file, and follow the instructions in my post again to download and run the latest version of the script.

    Code:
    rm install_qemu.sh

they don't archive old snapshots apparently so update 2006-06-04_23 to 2006-06-05_23 and tomorrow 2006-06-06_23 I would assume if you don't get around to it tonight. Sorry if someone else answered this I didn't get a chance to read all posts.
