How's everybody surviving? Currently Day 3 : no power, no water and no heat. At least one of the roads out of the neighborhood may be cleared up by tonight. Who knows when the other 3 are going to be cleared. I only got out after driving under a precariously positioned tree laying horizontally across the road about 10 feet up (and a lot of praying I don't catch a branch and twist the sucker right on top of me!)

No Power? You must have a very good laptop battery! At least your internet is still up

The family can't leave the neighborhood, though, because the minivan is too big to fit under the tree without snagging some larger branches and risk twisting and bringing the tree down. So when I leave work, I'll be returning to the dark, cold and internet-less!
Any idea when your power will be restored? reason for asking is i have relatives there power is out too

Depends on where they are located, and who you listen to. Most may be back by the end of this week. Some may take 10 days up to 2 weeks! This is an outage map, but it doesn't always come up for me. http://outage.cl-p.com/outage/outagemap.aspx Uploaded with ImageShack.us According to the map, my town is 97% without power, which turns out to be 88 people WITH power! yikes!
