    sound and flash player doesnt works

    please help, im newb in ubuntu.
    i installed ubuntu desktop 11.10 64bit on my thumbdrive and run it on my HP pavillion dm4, all works excepts
    1. sound, i tried some sound output, and did test but cant hear something
    2. flash player in ff. i did install plugin but it doesn't works, still can not play swf

    please help
