Successfully downloaded an 80MB file without being thrown off, solved for the 2nd time!

Thanks a lot for sticking to the thread and solving both issues, very much appreciated. I'll be sure to pester this forum next time something happens Thanks again.

Alright it doesn't seem to be fixed. Now it seems whenever I turn my cam on or screenshare on Skype, the internet cuts off. Skype issue or Wireless issue?

I typed that command and nothing happened. Is there anything else I should do after typing it?

Re: Ralink rt3060 cant find network Ubuntu 11.10

Now there should be a .txt-file in your /home-folder named dmesg.txt, upload it or if its too big use some pastebin service

Which channel do you want to connect to? Which country do you live in? Please show

    Code:
    iwlist chan
Deactivate (if active) roaming in the NetworkManager (or Wicd) and choose a channel from 1-6 fixed in the router. Additionally:
    Code:
    cat /etc/Wireless/RT2860STA/RT2860STA.dat
It wants to connect via roaming and falls back to channel 11 which doesnt work.

I live in England. You said channel 11 doesn't work but iwlist said that's my current, not sure if that holds any relevance to a fix. My internet is generally dodgy anyway, it just seemed odd how it seemed to disconnect every 10 minutes after A) Starting a large download, or B) Video Chatting on Skype.
