UbuntuStudio install messed up by upgrade to 11.10
I installed UbuntuStudio, ran some upgrades (not to 11.10, there were a bunch of other upgrades advised) and installed some stuff (Ubuntu Tweak, VLC, Samba, XBMC). As of last night, everything was working swimmingly. This morning, video playback was weird so I checked the upgrade status and lo - 11.10 was there. So I went ahead and it won't boot. First it hung on trying to connect to a network w/ the UbuntuStudio logo, now it goes to text like
My gut says that I have to reinstall rather than fix - any way to avoid that?
Dell 6000d / 2Ghz Pentium M / 2GB ram / ATI something or the other
